A New Day at Fort Benning

Friday, July 20, 2007 marked "A New Day at Fort Benning." Shortly after 11:00am, Mr. William Armbruster cut the ceremonial ribbon positioned across the threshold of the McGraw Village Center. That act marked the official opening of the Village Center, community pool and splash pad.

Including Mr. William Armbruster, other VIP's on hand to witness and participate in the day's events were MG Walter Wojdakowski, Commanding General, COL Keith Lovejoy, Garrison Commander, Congressman Lynn Westmoreland, Phil Cowley, Clark Project Development Executive and Mike Rouen, Pinnacle Director of Military Housing.

Following the ceremony, participants and observers, along with McGraw Village residents were invited to indulge in the "Festival on the Green" which included a Country's Barbecue lunch, bungee run, snow cones, face painting and use of the new pool and splash pad.
