New Recycling Trailers on Post

The Fort Benning community now has new recycling trailers at five locations around main post. The large green and tan trailers are now available.

You can find one at each of the following locations:

• At the west end of Soldier's Plaza parking lot on Dixie Road
• Behind Building 8 on Indianhead Road
• In the parking lot behind Gowdy Field (stadium)
• In the parking lot above Rainbow Avenue
• In the old visitor's center parking lot near the Benning Road/ Custer Road Access gate

The trailers have bins labeled for glass (clear, brown and green), plastic, newspaper only, paper/cardboard packaging, aluminum cans, and tin/steel cans. There is a double-slotted bin for flattened cardboard boxes.

Please help keep the recycling areas clean:

• Do not deposit trash. Deposit recyclable items only
• Crush plastic bottles/jugs and aluminum cans before placing in bins
• Flatten cardboard boxes
• Please no hazardous waste (oil, car batteries, tires, etc.)
