Watering Policy

In order to maintain beautiful and healthy grass it is critical that the right amount of water be used and at the right times of the day. Watering times should be strictly observed to ensure waste of water and/or damage to your grass is minimized. Watering should only be administered during the early morning/evening hours, watering outside these times will result in damage to the grass due to the excessive heat conditions which could cause the grass to be boiled/scalded by the water. Watering should only be administered in 1hr intervals in order to maintain healthy grass; watering in excess of 1hr is wasted water and does not provide ideal conditions for the grass. Sprinklers found operating outside the watering time and/or in excess of time allowed will be turned off to prevent waste of water and damage to your grass.

Order of Priority Placement

Pinnacle is pleased to announce that 12 months after the first house in McGraw Village fell victim to the wrecking-ball, the first block of new homes are nearly ready to be occupied by Army families. McGraw Village is the first of several neighborhoods at Fort Benning to be redeveloped as part of the Army's Residential Communities Initiative (RCI), a progressive program created to improve the standard of housing for America's military men and women.

Other than the question "when will the new houses be ready", the most commonly asked question has been "who will move into the new homes". In answer to this question, the first residents will be a small group of individuals that fulfill a pre-RCI Installation commitment followed by the order of Priority Placement listed below:

  1. Current Residents who are "in the Path of Demolition" for the next phase of construction. The Residents will be notified when they fall into this category.
  2. Any military family who is a new PCS arrival to Fort Benning.
  3. Any military family already living on-post, provided the new home has been vacant for no less than 60 continuous days. A lottery system will be used to determine who is selected to transfer.
  4. Any military family residing off-post (to include military families that cleared housing during a deployment).
As with all existing neighborhoods, the new housing areas will be available to designated rank bands, with McGraw Village designated as an E1 thru E6 neighborhood.

Occupancy of the first block of 28 new homes is expected to take place within the next two or three weeks. As part of the continued redevelopment of McGraw Village the neighborhood will boast sidewalks, playgrounds, fenced back yards and a Village Center with fitness facilities, business center, meeting and recreational rooms and a swimming pool.

Playgrounds

Soon you will begin to see Maintenance in your community beautifying and cleaning up the playgrounds. Our goal is to provide safe play conditions for our children to enjoy. However, we do need your assistance. Last year, the playgrounds fell victim to graffiti, littering and vandalism. Please assist us in keeping the playgrounds safe and clean for our children. Pick up after yourself and your children when on the playgrounds and report any suspicious activity or concerns immediately to your Neighborhood Management Office. Let's work together as we strive to provide our children with a safe and enjoyable summer!
